I’m more of a listener, and I’d rather show rather than speak of things, but a little background might be helpful.
I grew up on a farm and am comfortable with animals and powertools (barns frequently need patching when bored goats are around). I am a plant biochemist/molecular biologist/scientist by training and the state of my garden reflects the state of my mind. I love crafting and taught myself (with the help of some wonderful friends and excellent online videos), to knit, crochet, and sew. I started throwing pottery because a dear friend told me that it was great for finding balance in our lives, and she was right. Everything I learned in my life started out with someone generously sharing their knowledge, skills, or ideas. I’d like to do a little of that myself.
I love DIY projects, and I love doing DIY projects with family and friends. I’ll be sharing some my favorite DIY plans and results on this blog. It’s so lovely to make something that fits just right, and I love learning new things with every project. I hope that the information I share here might help someone out there make something wonderful that fits just right.
